i'm thrilled to finally find the perfect way to teach a "beyond the basics" class series. it's based on a new book by knit instructor michelle hunter, "building blocks" and it's fantastic!

if you've been wanting to take your knitting to the next level our building blocks series does just that. even if you've got some experience under your belt already you'll benefit from a slew of techniques, tips and working your way through the blocks along with the class.

each block teaches you new elements in a progressive way, to really cement your knitting knowledge. michelle provides loads of videos on her blog (http://knitpurlhunter.com) and tons of useful tips throughout the book. in class we'll work on a block each session (two sessions a month on average). these sessions are aimed to help boost your confidence which is the key element to becoming a better knitter. never again fear the dreaded dropped stitch, or the mysterious language of reading knits and purls.

We meet up bi-weekly to work our way through the Blocks 1-12. Our classes are informal, relaxed, nurturing sessions, with an emphasis placed upon fostering your confidence and knitting skills. Even the most intimidated students emerge as self-assured knitters by the ends of their session.

We also provide make-up sessions when needed for those weeks when it's impossible to attend a class, to ensure students don't lose momentum. But the class environment is an element of success and many find they really come to enjoy their bi-weekly meet ups and continue even after the course ends.

So if you've always said..."someday I'll learn to knit better...." this is a perfect class for you.
